A blood count blog can be boring so I decided to add a recent picture of my three beautiful daughters to spice things up. This was taken on the balcony of my room at the Royal Hawaiian this past summer. Aren't these three gorgeous? I love and miss you girls! (From left to right, Paula Jessie and June.) They have their mother's good looks and brains. If you read the comments, they get their emotional makeup from me.It looks like my blood count is pretty good. WBC (I think is white blood cell) is going down each week but this side (low side of normal range.) You can see it was down 0.9 from last week and I expect we may be down to 4.0 or something after this week. Black highlights what is not in normal range. You can see that RBC (red blood cell) is just below normal range. My blood count looks pretty good, Scott adjusted my dosage a little higher since I seem to tolerate the medication quite well. I'm pretty happy with this approach as it allows me to "maintain" my current lifestyle. All in all, things are going well.
Janie, if you know, can you add to the comments what all the abbreviations are in the blood count? I know they are components. I think HBG is hemoglobin, for example.
